Close Reading & Holidays Around the World

The week leading up to winter break, our class teamed up with Mrs. Trombert's class to learn about how other countries and cultures celebrate the holidays.  Students were paired up and assigned a country.  Their task was to read closely and learn all about how their country celebrates the holidays and how this differs from our celebrations.  Teams then created a poster highlighting what was unique about the country's holiday customs to present to their classmates.
