S.T.E.A.M. Earthquake Challenge
During our Soil, Rocks, and Landforms unit - teams of students were challenged to design and construct a building that would withstand the force of a mild earthquake. We had several "buildings" survive multiple earthquakes, and students discussed and identified construction elements that helped increase the chances for success.
